Combine the employee self service and client self service logins into a single login. One less password to remember.32 votes
Update on combining the client & employee logins:
We will likely begin work on combining client & employee logins in early 2011.
We have been spending the last several months working on a new, simplified employee onboarding module which will allow you bring on employees electronically. This is being tested by a few clients now and should be rolled out to everyone near the end of the year.
If you have more ideas for us please keep them coming!
Add a comment field for each row, instead of one big text box for the entire timesheet. Upside is you don't have to type in the employee names as much so it saves data entry time. Downside is that screen gets a little busier than it already is.19 votes
This should be do-able. Please vote for it if you want it.
Ability to generate a custom export that uses your own account and sub-account GL codes. You can get a dump of your Accord financial information, and import it into your general ledger system.13 votes
If you are interested in the GL Export module please contact us. This has been built & has been tested internally, but we need testing from customers to make sure it’s really ready to go.
on the home page there is the chart showing the OT percentage and $ amount it would be nice to beable to run this in a report for management to see by department.7 votes
We’re looking into this & should have a better update soon. Thanks for the feedback!
presently, in the PTO approval, an employee has only four options: vacation, sick, holiday, unpaid. We have other types of PTO such as bereavement, time-off for voting, personal days, military leave and workers comp leave. How about expanding the leave options?6 votes
There is also a personal option that we have available if your employees are set up as eligible for personal time. I don’t believe these fields are visible to you in AccessAccord so your payroll coordinator will need to make the change. So the complete list would be vacation, sick, personal, holiday, and unpaid.
Adding additional types and having them integrate with payroll will be problematic as our back-end payroll system can only deal w/ VSPH in terms of hours. We handle bereavement and the like as a dollar-amount similar to a bonus. But as long as the PTO request stays disconnected from payroll adding additional types could be done.
The session timeout period is a little inconsistent, but is between 30 and 60 minutes after the last page load. The reason we have a session timeout is so that if someone leaves the computer w/o logging out, an unauthorized person would be able to submit payroll, give bonuses, change pay rates, etc. We also attempt to pop up a warning message 5 minutes before your session is about to expire.
Would love to hear feedback from others that are frustrated by this.
I would like for my managers to be able to view a report showing total hours for the week so they know who is approaching overtime.4 votes
This sounds like a good idea to me. Ought to help everyone control their labor costs. Please vote for it if you want it!
Include an effective date in the pay rate change section.3 votes
Thanks for the feedback! This is a great idea.
Implementing it will be pretty tough. Asking for the date on AccessAccord is easy, but handling the date appropriately is an issue. Things like payroll process dates happening before the next pay period starts could give someone a raise too early if we weren’t careful. And mid-pay-period raises would also be complicated.
Please vote for this idea if it’s important to you!
As an adminisrator, I am always login as the employer and therefore I don't see the announcements to the employees. This may be taken care of through single log-ins.3 votes
Every hire I have had for the past year I have had difficulty with completing the forms online with the adobe reader function in your program. Not only that I just the same computer with the same browser (internect explorer) and sometimes it works and other time i end up in an endless loop of download the most updated version and restarted several times, only to be told I still need to "upgrade". Now, currently I can see the continue button, I can click on the continue button, but it just sits there and does nothing...so frustrating!3 votes
Add some additional help or tutorials to show me how to do common things in AccessAccord.3 votes
We try to make things as easy as we can, but maybe we need a tutorial? If this is important to you please vote for it.
In client self service (company-wide) PTO reports can be run that show the YTD amounts.
In manager self service (only your direct & indirect subordinates) you can view PTO hours, but you have to do it one employee at a time.
If you want to be able to have manager-level reporting, please vote for this.
Add print icon to work page to allow printing of work sheet directly from screen without the other web page information, so that you don't have to down load the file/page for a clean print.3 votes
This sounds like a good idea to me.
Now the options are either ALL (meaning every employee INACTIVE & ACTIVE is marked) & NONE (which unchecks ALL employees) this requires you to go through employees that are not with your company - INACTIVE - to find & select the ACTIVE employees you need on the report. Can't we make the inactive employees an option if we want them on the reports?3 votes
Thank you for your feedback. On the reports that contain dollar amounts (wages, deductions, etc), there is no need to select active employees. If you just select the check date you will get the employees that received checks on those dates automatically. Does this help? If not, which report were you needing it for?
Currently the job field is only 16 characters. This is too small for the job codes that we need.2 votes
This is actually more difficult than it sounds. We can increase the field on the page and in the database without any problem. But an internal export file that is created with every payroll will have to have the job field increased. Definitely do-able, but not as easy as you would hope.
Allow client self service users with appropriate permissions to view images of their employee paperwork.2 votes
This is whiz-bang futuristic kind of stuff, but is kind of a medium-level project.
create reports that will be auto generated on a weekly or monthly basis and emailed to user defined email addresses.
This will help with sending reports to manangment instead of manualy recreating the reports over and over again.2 votes
I’m concerned about actually delivering confidential data over email, which is insecure. But the general concept of running reports on scheduled basis and having them available on AccessAccord is still a possibility.
Also see the improved reports idea and the memorized reports idea.
There's no "forgot password" field on the main log-in page when you click "sign-in" - I've spent over an hour trying to find out how to access my "employee" account and haven't been able to do it, even after watching a 25 minute video.1 vote
there should be a link from the employee profile for the electronic w-2 site both to enroll and to retrive previous copies.1 vote
Allow employees to access the VSP (Vision insurance provider) web site without having a separate log in.1 vote
If this interests you, please vote for it!
